Agreed, stay with the Racers. We occasionally have open tire races around here and the tire of choice is the AR. They wear better, last longer, don't need nearly as much prep time as Hoosiers do.
On the car they are a much better tire as well. Real rubber vs. synthetic, which also provides a softer sidewall vs. the Hoosier. On a dirt car, that softer sidewall is important.

I sometimes wish we would switch to Racers but we have 2 tracks in the area that are Hoosier only... But the track we call home is open tires.. I see guys on Racers taking off and it seems to take a few more laps for our tires to come in and fire off.. But we seem to be able to run them down as the race goes on.. I stand there and think what if we were on racers.. haha... But anyway.. Again.. Stick with Racers if you have the choice... Like I said early... they are cheaper than Hoosiers.. You can get more races out of them.. You don't need to carry a ton of different compounds... Run them... flip there.. buff them off.. run them again..
