604 fuel pressure

What should the 604 run for fuel pressure setting and should it be do at idle or half throttle.

difference between idle and half throttle (as you say) would be dependant on the type of regulator used

but basically a gas application is well rounded at 7 1/2

RUN A REGULATOR!!!
When you get over about 8 PSI, Holleys won't keep the needle valved closed even when the float is completely submerged in fuel.
