How do you tell when a 604 was built?

On the 602s, there is a metal tag epoxied to the block on the passenger side just below the head. Not sure if the 604 has these, but it's worth a look. The tag will have the manufacture date on it.

604 has a date code stamped into the RF corner of the deck on the block------just in front of the head and just above the water pump

there will be 2 rows of numbers one row will start with 1M and then have 4 digits --1Mxxxx that is the production code

the other row will be a 4 digit number with the last 3 digits being P04-----the first digit is the year

examples:

1P04=2011
2P04=2012
3P04=2013
0P04=2010
9P04=2009
9P04=2008
7P04=2007
