    Longacre Accutech digital tachometer problems?

Has anyone had problems hooking the Longacre Accutech digital tachometer up to the MSD HEI distributor PN8365 with the internal rev limiter? Mine doesn't seem to read correctly, the RPMS drop when the engine is revved. I replaced the battery, but still no luck. Any info will be appreciated!

Did you get the MSD ignition 8910 adapter? I had to buy one of those to make my Accutech tach to read correctly. It amplifies the signal to allow the tach to read it correctly. Without it, it won't see the signal properly. When I would quick rev mine, it wouldn't see it. Mine is supposed to come in today and I plan to wire it in tomorrow and see how it goes.

The MSD tech guys told me I would need that part in order to make my tach function properly.

Thanks! I called longacre and they said some of the older accutech tach models weren't compatible with HEI? So I guess i'll have to try this!

ive been talking about this on the modified forum.
It appears I got one of the older models myself. no receipt necessary as its a common problem with the HEIs.

really hope this fixes it, its a nice piece
