Is there any advantages running a 16 volt? is it possible to charge with a 12 volt charger or u hafta buy the 16 volt charger

More voltage equals hotter spark. Yes you have to buy the dedicated charger the 12 volt will not charge it up all the way.

You can buy a combo battery and charger and save some cash vs seperatly
