Brad,when did GM start using "black" silicon as the intake gasket? Thanks.

its actually a dark grey where before it was a light grey

the silicone changed when the intake gasket changed to the "paper" gasket

the change was on the 1P04 engines but didn't surface much until 2012

Thanks,I guess I'm color blind I thought it looked to be black.

when some of these guys cheat an engine they might use black----so if it is actually black then I would take a real close look at the seal bolts if you purchased this engine used and don't know the history
