what do i look for to tell if a crate engine is legal. i'm looking to get into crate racing and don't want to buy an engine that won't pass inspection.

If you don't know and trust the person you are buying from then be very very cautious
if it has sanction seals--call the sanction and check what builder did the engine
if it has factory GM seal bolts---you can take pictures of them and send them to us and we will help you make a decision asto whether they have been tampered with
