I am running e85 Ignite good racing blend of E85. its 106 octane. We can not seem to fix low in stumble. We have replaced everything . Power valves jets regulators, nozzle size . fuel lines filter, looked for any possible air leaks. Still nothing has worked. Also have a good wilson spacer. But soon as you shift into high gear falls flat. It will run okay once you get it up and going. Bur restarts are so bad . It does not pop it just falls on its face. Should we be looking some place else. maybe electrical? MSD ? Or battery issue? So frustrated . Please any help at all would be great.

we have found the content on ignite brand of E-85 to be high
as with all e-85 applications more is not better
check the ethanol content and adjust it to 83 to 85
always agitate the fuel before testing to blend the ethanol and gas (it does seperate)

I saw some guys having the same problem at a practice day. They changed jets a few times and got it fixed. Might be worth a try.

We have tried all different jets and power valves. It is a C&S Carb baby billet . We have talked to them many times . It seems to be in the range of 1000 to 2500 RPm Range. It has the aerosol nozzle. Wondering if the one post is correct. We went Ignite said they did allot testing this fuel worked very well for alot people . but maybe with the low compression it is to much ?Originally posted by Dirtracer50 View PostWhat kind of carb?

have you checked the content?
its a simple water test that anyone running E-85 should do on a regular basis

Very simple to do. Just put water in up to the line, then fill with E-85 to the top line. Shake it up and let it sit for about a minute. A very distinct line will form to tell you the ethanol content.

sparky is dead on its very simple----willys and quick fuel sell the same tube as shown in the link----get it from who ever is the most convienient----we stock the quick fuel and i think they are $24
tworick----
it depends on how much ethanol; is in the gas you are adding for a mix----do not add 1 gallon to 5---its more like a pint to 5 and recheck----you must agitate to blend the fuels---an air hose works best
