    Bell housing question

What is the difference in a regular bert bell and the "crate" bell housing and does it change driveshaft length? Thanks in advance

the difference is the flywheel/drive hub that comes with the package

crate engine has a flywheel with a external counter weight and new style bolt pattern

no difference in actual bell housing

Brad is there a spacer and bolt kit made for the ct525 flywheel. Seems a long way off the throw out gear, like 1/4 inch off. Think I have a winters bell.

did you bolt the starter on and then measure?----the starter will move the idler closer to the ring gear

if your bell is winters ---you should be using winters flywheel not BERT
