Needing assistance identifying what could possibly be vapor lock. My Gm 604 has been running like the carb is sick, sputtering at random times and going away and running great at times. So I bought a brand new hendren carb(CHP Fuel btw)...same problem. Swapped fuel pumps...same problem, Running CV fuel log and regulator and having around 8psi of pressure. I have noticed when I've tried to set the fuel pressure it doesn't change when I play with the regulator... I'm not running a return line. I've heard it could help prevent vapor lock though. What are some signs of vapor lock? Thanks

we always recommend a return style regulator when running CHP-- because CHP has such a low boil point it is very likely to have vapor lock
i noticed you said the regulator does not react to adjustment
you also said that you are NOT running a return line
it sounds like you have a return style regulator and they must have a return line
if it is a dead head style regulator it must be between the pump and carb ----also could be plumbed wrong
send a picture of your set up to 330-540-7223 and we will try and help
