    604 hp

    I am seeing all kinds of claims on legal hp being made anyone had a new 604 on the dyno with gm seals i know the new motors seem to make better power than my old one 2004

    Mine made 421hp on the dyno with 10 races on it.

        Straight out of the box. With his beyea headers. (He uses same headers on every engine. I have the dynatech with reversion mufflers. Havent dynoed it with those yet) Holly ultra hp 650. Hvh 5/8 super sucker. Msd billet dist. Moroso super 40 wires. Valvoline vr1 oil

          You really can't just go by somebody's dyno numbers because they can be manipulated or can be different from one dyno to another. They are good for comparative testing, and if the dyno operator does a few of those engines he'll know the normal range thy fall into on HIS dyno.

            The guy I use he said his stock range is 415-425.

              Sounds like a good honest number. People that aren't aware that dynos can put out different numbers or be cheated can be taken advantage of by the people that crank up their dyno to sell stuff. Not everyone realizes that, but they should.

                You are correct. Numbers can and will me manipulated to sell them. Just read today somebody is claiming 455hp legal crate
