KSE Tandem X pump

Has anyone had to run a smaller pill than what KSE recommends to get your pressure between the 6-9 psi? I believe they recommend a .220 pill. Mine has a .200 pill and has 4psi at 3500 rpm. Kse said it should be around 6psi at 3500. Just wondering if something's wrong with my pump or if I just need a smaller pill. This is on race gas.

We take the pill & spring out & plumb a bypass regulator there , then run the return to the fuel cell from the regulator. Cleans everything up & no guessing on fuel pressure.
