Best tire that will punch 40

Rule says tire must punch 40 doesn't say hot or cold. then again i've never seen them check one either. Just looking for thoughts on the best tire out there that will durometer a 40. Track is either super tacky or glassy shine where tires leave white streaks on track. no sand or abrasive in dirt.

You don't want the softest tire you are allowed, your want the tire you need. With that if your tire budget is low, run harder tires.

generally speaking most punch 40 rules allows a 1350 but a 1300 usually won't make it past the punch unless it's really heat cycled or old. A unaltered 1350 should pass every time.
