I would think if you couple this with an 11" clearance on the RF valance, and 6" LF, you would have something.

I seen somewhere that the latest speculation is Lucas is gonna spec the RF to 13" off the ground on RF. That just brings in more tinkering.

I think the best thing they could do is a 5" spoiler, no more than 50 or so degrees up from ground as level, and a 12" nose clearance. Forgot about all the jacking etc.

I'd be happy is they just fix some rules that make no sense. How does this work:

Top of body must be straight from spoiler to RF fender with no more then 1" tolerence
Max door hieght is 36 or 37" depending on series, yet the Rear deck hieght can be 39"??????

How the hell can the body line be straight? The door height should be the same as the max deck height at the spoiler. Cut that to 36". That would be a start.

What he is saying is, limit droop with chain, cable, underslung block, your grandmas underwear, we don't care. Hook the chain to the bell, or to the brake caliper if you want, we don't care. All we want is for the left rear deck not to be higher than this measurement when the LR comes off of the ground with six pounds in it. So you can move your droop limiters to 70 different spots if you want, as long as the deck only comes up this much on the racetrack. If there is an overslung car I am sure they can jack on the bumper, etc. It is actually a pretty effective way to measure dynamic deck height in my humble opinion.

From the way it sounded to me was that you can only run a chain on the LR. No spring limiters or biscuits. Also sounds if you do not have a LR underslung you need to put one in your car.

Less spoiler doesn't make sense, everybody is always worried about costs, the best thing they could do is give the little motors back the spoiler advantages they used to have. Heck even putting a twelve inch spoiler on the big motors would fix the cars moving too much, they darn sure wouldnt want the deck that high with a bigger spoiler.

Yup. You never punt on downforce. Take it every time.

How about the open cars get a 3 or 4in spoiler instead of making the "little motors" get bigger spoilers. Honestly i would like to see the WoO and Lucas put a smaller spoiler on them for a year.

Ok let me see if this pans out. On this new chain rule. If you jack the car up like they say your suspension moves but it doesn’t wrap up like it does on the gas when the lift bar compresses. So what would keep you from mounting a fixed bracket instead on the bearing chain mount on the front side of the axle tube so it passes tech but when it hikes and the axle wraps on throttle you have extra chain slack?

You'd have to mount a 10.5 inch long mount out in front yo gain even an inch at full wrap if the 5th could is at 36 inches and moves 3 inches. That not alot of gain. For something that likely won't fit without getting in the way of the j bar. Or something else.
