Shifting issues

So i tried to relocate my shifters in my bloomquist car (because they run sideways) and after i decided i was better off wity them sideways ive gotten them screwed up. I cant get it into any gear while its running and it falls into gear when it isnt running. If i get it in low gear you have to shove it pretty hard, and if it goes in reverse it come out when you push the clutch in. Oh and it grinds like something awful when you try to put it on gear.

Adjust the rods. Sounds like not going far enough in

If it’s grinding something awful it sounds like you are trying to pull it into high instead of reverse
