LR Spacer?

I see more and more people running them, whats the effect?

I know its been stated on here many times, just didn't find it today.

Also, adding one to the LF, would that make a car steer in on entry a little better?

I honestly believe it mostly got started because Rocket had a lot of orange car rears to sell when it was a flop. They had a shorter lr axle tube.

On the rare occasion I got to race at the old Lawrenceburg, IN 1/4 mile (RIP) I used to run one on the LF. I felt it helped the car rotate. It might have been in my head.

Just the opposite. It makes more lr drive, but you have to add the bite back in. The spring feels softer because the tire is farther away.

Simple explanation:
LR: tightens whole turn
RR: loosens whole turn
LF: loosens entry
RF: tightens entry

You get the lr more to the left of the car's CG also. This tightens on throttle.

True....it was a standard adj on our blue/gray Rocket, but we just left it on at all times.

yep , its pretty much a quick little crutch now , BUT , at the right time , can make a difference......

Why do so many big teams use spacers on the left front? Anywhere from 1/4 to 1" out. Whats the purpose and theory on that?

Doesn't a great corner start at turn in?

Lf starts weight transfer at turn in, mainly. Spacers tune how much and timing.

I have been using a 1/4" one on the LF just to help our car turn in. It seems to help, so i am contemplating a 1" spacers and also adding one to the RR, for early in the night track conditions.
