    Angle milling question

    With these new rules, is it worth it?

    A.Any steel head meeting the following requirements ◦Chevy 23 degree head + or – 1 degree with no larger than a 1.94” intake valve
    ◦Ford 20 degree head + or – 1 degree with no larger than a 2.02” intake valve
    ◦Mopar 18 degree head + or – 1 degree with no larger than a 2.02” intake valve

    B.Angle milling of heads OK.
    C.Multi angle valve job permitted. NO porting, polishing, squaring, or epoxying of ports.
    D.Valve size Chevrolet 1.94”, Ford or Mopar 2.02″ intakes and 1.65″ exhausts max.
    E.Stainless steel valves permitted.
    F.Screw in studs and guide plates permitted.
    G.Roller tip rockers. Aluminum rockers and stud girdles permitted. No shaft mounted rockers.
    H.Any valve retainers . Any spring permitted.
    I.NO aluminum heads permitted.

    Generally speaking no, but would depend on that particular head: Most of the time you angle mill to reduce the chamber smaller then you would be able to by flat milling. Since it says any Chevy head, you can buy heads with small CC chambers.

    Basically if you flat mill a head down to the intake seat (pretty much as far as you can go) and do the same with angle milling (no degree rule limit) then you will end up with a smaller chamber then the flat milled way.

      The Mopar W2 head will make the most HP with those rules. You can pocket port them and get the intake to flow 280+ cfm.
