Have been seeing it for awhile but haven’t had the time to break away from my asphalt stuff to look into it. What is it and what are the benefits?

Uses the same hub or OD of the wheel bearings, but has a larger snout (ID of bearings) to allow the snout to be stronger and not snap off from heavy components or fatigue.
