    Battery Location

Car currently has the battery mounted in the back beside the fuel cell. I have a location forward of the rear end, right of center above the pinion area. Would this be a better location for the battery? It will be at the same height just about 3 feet more forward in the car? Suggestions??

Is it a Rayburn or a Pierce car? Just curious, but I know those two typically have the battery next to the fuel cell (which is obviously by design). Assuming you're using a standard size/weight battery (not a lightweight lithium), it's a fairly large piece of ballast. Moving it forward should lighten tail weight % some, but might help the car "rotate" as the weight is closer to the center of gravity.
