What changes could one expect changing RR tire from a 29 to a 28.5? Going to a track that should be about as slick as a gocart track with baby powder on it. Just thinking about trying something different.
Right rear tire

If you put on a smaller rr, without any other adjustments, this smaller tire will add more lr weight on the scales. Another way of saying this is "the smaller right rear tire will adge wedge on the scales". Adding wedge on the scales will generally make the car looser on entry off the throttle, but also will make the car tighter on the throttle. Changing the rr to a smaller roll out tire will also decrease rear stagger, and this will also make the car tighter past mid corner on the throttle. Some people will say that a smaller rr or a harder rr 'adds instant drive". What they are trying to say is that adding a smaller or harder rr makes the car drive straighter from center out. I do not like confusing terms like "adds drive". Lets use terms that are more easily understandable.
