The 525 debate

Anyone have experience switching to or racing against 525's with steel block or limited latemodel engine packages. Advantages disadvantages etc...

Yes, I run both. One track we race at I think has it very close- 2300#'s for the 525, 2400#'s for 365 cid 23degree aluminum head steel block (old Steel Block Bandit rules). Chassis dyno with same car, the 365 put out right at 590hp, the 525 was actually 525hp. Now against the unlimited steel blocks, obviously it should be a bigger weight spread; but I do know they have been competitive at times in that realm as well (track conditions obviously even things out).
