We've always used the blue spindles on our car, I see a lot of guys going to the greys...what is the difference and what are the advantages? thanks!

The length of the steering arm is the only difference. This only affects the final speed of the steering. If you are running a fast rack (3.75+) and run on tracks that typically stay slick/ have wide sweeping corners go with the grey. If you are running a 3.75 or slower rack you may like the feel of the blue spindles better as the grey may make the steering too slow.
My advice would be to try a set of combo spindles both ways and see how you like them.
