    panhard bar mount leaking at the pinion seal

    i just changed panhard bar mount on my winters quick change and it is leaking though the pinion seal. should i have put silicone on the pinion splines or what should have done to fix the problem? thanks Chad

      Is the rearend over filled? This happened to me and I was about a 1/2 quart over filled.

        Look at the yoke. There is a big flat washer in it that the bolt tightens on alot of guys just remove and put back on. Take the washer out of the yoke and clean super good with carb or brake cleaner then slide it on the rear end and put red or black rtv in the center of the yoke then put your washer and bolt back on and tighten down. You may have to drain your rear end so that gear oil doesn't poor out and the rtv can set up and dry.
