rayburns pull bar vs. the newer pull-push unit

ive currently got the pullbar but want some opinions on the pull push type

Are you talking about the pull bar with a brake damper on it?

We had an old style on and I took a urethane bushing from a leaf spring cut it, drilled it and added it as a brake bushing.The driver said it had a more stable feel when you came off the throttle.We kept it on but we switched to a lift arm later.
