    Caster Angle Question

Why do most Late model chassis use the lower control arm to adjust caster??? Would it not be better to push the top arm back than to pull the lower arm forward. Using the lower control arm, would it not also change the wheel base side to side. I mean would it not make the right side wheel base longer than the left, if you use more caster on the right side??

You are on the right track.. Set your caster with the uppers.. Buy a slotted upper and square the lowers to the chassis..then set the caster with the uppers.

Moving the lower ball joint forward has more effect on steering geometry for ackermann. I would not worry the wheelbase change as there would be no effect on handling.
