    Rack position

What would be the change if you slid your rack left to right or forward to back ? If all is set back up the same as far as bump steer as caster ,camber. Seen a top notch teams car to me his rack was pulled back towards the motor.

side to side is how you adjust the bump steer. im sure it does other things also but, bump is the main reason the slots are there.

You aim to draw a line through your lower control arm pivot, inner rack pivot and upper control arm pivot. This prevents bump steer as stated. Moving the rack back and forth changes ackerman steer. Which is how much the inner tire turns compared to the outer. Also, how much toe change you have through the turning radius.
