loose 08 masters smackdown

Ran this past weekend at a 5/16 mile high bank that was tacky at the start and dryed off at the end. We were extremly loose all night. Never could get it to tighten up. Running an 08 Smackdown 604 crate 500lf 450rf 225lr 250rr hoosier 1200 all the way around. Air pressures were lf 8 rf 10 lr 6 rr 10. We had the bottom right bar 1 hole from the bottom and jbar all the way at the bottom Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are just getting into racing and this is frustratiing as well everyone knows what.

I am in the same boat. I was going to make a post tonight but it seems youve covered it. My home track basically starts out dry slick and my car just goes into a four wheel slide. It turns in just fine but immediatly goes into a four wheel slide. I then have to wait on the car and then it will spin off the corner. dropped my jbar all the way to the bottom on the pinion and raised left upper bar to the top. ny suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I started out running 112lbs of bite.

we drop both bottom bars to bottom, what shocks r u on?

Shocks

Im on Ohlin remote canister shocks. 500 lf, 350 rf, 225's across rear and 350 5th coil shock 3/5 split shock.

try pulling rr foward 3/4" & that 4 wheel skate sounds like your shock may be stiff on rf & rr compression !! do you have your dyno sheets on them ?? pm me i will try to help !!

You can have all the right springs, all the bars in the "right" places, a $5000 shock package, and Mario Andretti driving for you but if you're weight distribution is off you would be better off leaving it in the trailer.

Just from what I've read so far, I'm guessing one of three things:
A) Too much left side weight
B) Lead mounted too low in the car
C) A and B

Matt, running 55.1% left side and I do have a block of lead thats "laying" on the left side of the "x". I can stand that up or raise it up on the up bar there. How about that percentage? Also, i'm hearing that some of the "fast" guys are running pretty big bite numbers. Ive been told around 80lbs? Last week we were at 113 but fairly balanced front to rear. What do you guys think?

I would get that left side % down to 54 and move your ballast UP. It sounds to me like you're just not transferring enough weight to the right side tires in the corners.
