What's the difference between aluminum and steel bracket, 5" spring vs. the small spring style?

The differences are just what you listed...We run an aluminum bracket with a 5" spring.. -

The only difference we found from the small type spring (the AFCO 6th coil spring was what we were running at the time) was that it was so short that it was super progressive and seemed to reach coil bind relatively quickly. By going to the rocket style 6th coil with a hypercoil spring we have additional rates available that were not available with the smaller AFCO setup and entry handling seems to be more consistent.
