We just acquired a set of practically new Wilwood forged calipers for 1.25" rotors. They each have different piston diameters. One caliper has all four small pistons. One has two larger pistons and two smaller pistons. The others have four larger pistons. Is this common? Do different corners work better with these different configurations? Should the caliper with the smaller pistons go on the RF?

The caliper that has 2 different pistons is a staggered piston calipers. They are meant to stop the uneven pad wear that you see from normal calipers. The small pistons need to be on the side of the caliper that will contact the rotor first as it rotates. If calipers are on the back side of the spindle, the small pistons need to be on the bottom.
