Mine were made out of 1x2 square and diamond plated on top in one single piece. Ramps are open underneath so we store things under that.Web: http://www.t17.co

Wood
I used plywood and 2x10's or (or maybe 2x8's?? however tall the wheel well is??). the plywood sat on top of the 2x10's with a hinge on the wall side so that it can be lifted up to store radius rods, shocks, etc... I can send pics also if wanted

Here is a good pic of our base.
We built it 3/4 of an inch from the top of the inner fenders this way the plywood will lay flat. Then from the back of the fender we sloped it toward the door.
Hope that helps. If you need more pics let me know.
1x1 Tubing and 3/4 plywood.
Side note: I think we went a little overboard. But this trailer hauls everything from street rods to late models. So we had to add extra bracing.Last edited by B r a n d o n; 01-25-2013, 04:31 PM.CLICK HERE to see how you can win a turn key Rocket XR1!
