    GRT rack

I have a 2002 GRT with 2008 updates front and rear. They didn't clip the whole front, just re-did the crossmember and whatever other "updates" are done to make it a 2008.

I called GRT and told them the year and serial number and they said it takes a 18 1/4" rack. Looking back over some papers I have with the chassis the parts list shows for a 2002 and a 2008 it was a 19 1/4". Everyone else I talk to local says all of the "96" spindles use the 19 1/4" and 2011 and newer uses the 18 1/4".

Any input on why exactly the changes and would it matter?

If I remember correctly the only difference is the rack plate. They changed it to gain ground clearance. Any upper a-arm mount changes would be minor, and yes up to 2008 they used the 19 1/4" rack.

I wonder why they say to use the 18 1/4 now then.
