driveshaft length

I was running Saginaw last year, with approx 36" center to center shaft (not including yoke). We also have a 39.5" shaft. How much shorter is a Bert than a Saginaw?

Also, when looking at used Berts/Brinns, what exactly should you look at? We will be going to swap meet in a few weeks specifically for the purpose of purchasing one...I'm sure everyone there will be claiming "just rebuilt", or "just taken out of the car with only two races"..what should I be inspecting?

A Brinn is close to the same length as the Saginaw..We use a Brinn...I think a Bert is approx 3" shorter if I remember right
