Could a person use filtered air in there shocks once they arrive at the track and then release the air when done racing without any damaging effects on the shocks?
Would this be fesible??

It would work, but the reason we use Nitrogen is because it has very little moisture which makes it more stable to temp changes . "Filtered" air would still have moisture in it and would potentially expand as the heat increased, and the heat WILL increase, I have had shocks on the dyno reach 160* within two minutes. Now if by "filtered" air you actually mean "dry" air that has been through a dessicant dryer, then you would be better off than just clean air .
