Afco Shock Eye

Haven't messed with adjustable shocks much. Have to replace an eye on an Afco 31 series compression adjustable shock. What do I need to look out for? Will it just unthread like a non adjustable?

Mark the eye and a spot on the shaft so that they line up. Loosen the jam nut. Count the turns it takes to remove the eye. When you reinstall, count the same turns back on and line the marks up.
