S7 Conversion...

I know that this has been covered 4000 times probably but what are the benefits of converting from the wide smack suspension to the S7 front suspension? Tighter/Looser, spring changes, more/less drive off? Does it work better in the wet/dry? Still a need for wheel spacers etc.? Just looking for feedback for updating purposes. Thanks
