    Need some tire help

Could you guys give some advise on what could be done to a 1325 RR tire or the car to help get some grip. We run 1300s all 4 corners in hot laps and heats and car is great. Puta 1325 on RR for feature and the car is junk. Any help would be great.

Probably not the tire. Call or email hoosier if you think its still the tire. If not post the setup and i'm sure these guys will help you.

500 lf 350 rf 200 lr 250rr springs. 53.5% rear 54% left. 4 bars are pretty much standard location. Just have to waitto get back to throttle in center.

Are your competitors running the tire? It doesn't work on dirt with no abrasion.

You need to sipe it full depth 4 sipes per small block and it'll fire quick and last

Yes all the front runners are on a RR 1325. Its just hard to believe the difference in our car from heat races on a 1300 to the feature on a 1325. I am new to 4m so if there is other info you guys need just ask. I thought it would bebest to get help here before making the wrong adjustment.

We have been doing 3 sipes about half tread thickness on all blocks.

It may not be the tire at all. Is the track slicking off? I assume it is or you wouldn't be going to the harder RR.
Depending on the severity of the problem:
Drop your bottom right bar one hole and that will tighten up your entry.
Or if you have adjustable shocks just take some rebound out of the RR.
The bar adjustment will in general have more effect than the shock adjustment.

Lot's of ways to skin a cat but these are the first places we go for tightening entry when it gets slick. Other changes can be made (j-bar, LF spring) but the above are the easiest to fine tune in my opinion.

This is speculation without seeing your car but you could actually be too stiff on the RR spring not allowing the car to roll over and plant the RR...otherwise simply shearing the RR tire across the race track. Is it a pretty flat track?

Yes its pretty flat banking and is usually really dry and starting to take a lil rubber when we run. I do agree with your idea that the RR isn't planting Matt49. That's exactly what it feels like. We have lowered the RR bottom rod and it stillhas not improved. I may try the shock adjustment this week. Do you think the RR spring rate is ok?

What would be a better change, shock adjustment or go to a 225 RR spring?

Depends on the attitude of the car. How much travel do you have left in your RR shock when the track is slick?

Got plenty of travel left in shock. Going to put a 225 spring on it and scale car tonight. Thanks for all of the suggestions. I'll post how it turns out this weekend. Thanks so much Matt49.

I've found a 1325 needs a black strip to run it in.. If you don't see that.. they are hard to get hooked up.. I sipe mine 3 times block deep across.. and use 2 foamys and a cover on it to keep heat in the tire.. Only way I can seem to get them to work..

a 1325 is a very tough tire to get to work. we take the normal size block and cut it into quarters with a 2 blade. then sipe 3 times across and 3 times around. Get the tire hot, and keep it hot. do not let it cool or it'll seal. a 1325 only works if new. we have NEVER had a 1325 work after a heat cycle. Ever think about using a 1300 but not cutting or siping as much?
