    falcon transmission problems

Anyone else have a problem with wearing a slip yoke on just half of it right where the bearing is in the tail housing? We have had 2 slip yoke do that at the same spot.

are you using the hardened yolk from Falcon ? If using a STD 8'' yolk they are not hardened and the bearing will wear them out .

I've ran a Falcon for years and never had an issue. I don't run the hardened yokes either. Have you replaced the bearing?

Hammond is on the money. The standard yolks are to soft for the bearings. We've chewed through several a bunch of years ago until we found out Winters was making a hardened version to solve the problem. The bigger problem is trying to get one of the hardened yolks from Winters. I've had some on back order through a parts distributor for over a year. Does anyone know where else to get one?
