Is there a standard size for bolts that fasten the caliper to the spindle? Hoping I have the wrong bolts, but thinking the threads are stripped. What do you guys do in this situation? Tap and die new threads?Cut the bracket of the caliper and weld another one on? Buy new spindle or spindles?Leave it and keep running three wheel breaks?Owner was running the car without the caliper on the RF, said he kept it shut off all the time anyway. On a 98 GRT.
Brake caliper bolt and thread size?

7/16" fine with a lock washer AND add it to your weekly check list. Just get a wrench on them to make sure nothing is backing off...takes literally less than a minute to check them all so well worth the time.
If you strip one just put a nut on the back of it but be careful of potential clearance issues with your rotor.
