enlarging side sails

what would you expect to happen by increasing the height of the side sails supporting the spoiler without any increase in spoiler height?

Less air on the spoiler when the car is in yaw. More when the car is straight.

we have tried and it seems to make the car much tighter we went from 8" sides to 12" and it was much much much tighter esp on big tracks

some are putting holes in the r side support to get more air to the spoiler when the cars is at full yawn(as it's called now) this might hurt the rear down force while the car is straight.I think people are looking for any edge they can find.here's a photo from a chassis mfg web site.
