    Engine offset?

'06 Masters, steel head engine. I know the real answer is in percentages, unfortunately I don't have scales. What is a good starting point for offset? I've found 1.5", 2 5/8", and 5/8" offset midplates. I believe 1" up for steel head.

I don't really have an answer for you, but after reading your post, I began to do some investigating and it looks like the 2 5/8 offset is for the PRE 99 chassis.

1.5" is what the MasterSbilt mid plate provides. Then there are usually multiple sets of holes on the chassis tabs to let you adjust from there.
