We're looking to buy a newer MB smackdown chassis. What do you guys think, square tube or round? Or doesn't it really make that much difference?

I agree with hucktyson and MasterSbilt_Racer, heavy rail square tube car worked a lot better for us than our round tube smack. Round tube car wasn't nearly as responsive to adjustments.

Maybe the round is. I have seen squares with well over 125 shows win races.Originally posted by W2racing View PostThanks for all the responses. It sounds like we'll be going to a round tube smackdown, based on our shock builders advice. He also said the chassis is worn out after 75 nights. Comments?Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing

i had a round tube with 35 or so races on it and started to crack up to where i had to weld on it every week and i had a square tube car that had about 40 races on it and never welded on it, just my thought but never felt any difference until it started cracking up
