For those of you that have one what type of battery are you using?

You can use a small lawn tractor type, lighter and easier to carry around and they do the job. I used to have an optima we took out of one of our cars, it was better cuz we didn't have to charge it as often , could get 8 races or more before needing a charge.

A small lawn battery will not fit inside the box that came with it?

Well I get them with the cart so I couldn't tell ya what fits in the box. Have you tried calling MLR?

we use a lawn mower tractor battery but we don't have their box, we purchased our own.

I've seen many use a small ATV battery with a small trickle charger (2 amp) directly wired to the battery. Then they just plug it in. Of course as Talon said, the Optima is ideal...all but the price.

Yes I called them and they said lawn mower battery. But they are 5 1/8 wide and there's only 4 1/2 of space. They said it'll fit just push it down in there.
