I have been doing some reading on the short bar I have. I have the short panhard bar on the left side of the pinion. The panhard is 15 inches center to center. I think I have too much rake in it. It's 5.5 inches of rake. It's all the way down on the pinion side. Under throttle I have side site but right when I lift I loose RR traction. I have plenty of foward.4bar left watts right. Any help? Thanks

15 inches is pretty short,we dont like to be less than 16,try about 5 degrees down hill to the rear end at ride height and make sure to center your rear end back up -
That is WAY too much angle for that short of a bar. 5.5 inches of rake on a 15 inch bar is about 20 degrees. Like GRT47 said...longer bar, less rake. A 16" bar with 1.5 inches of rake would be a good place to start.Comment

You are experiencing what a short straight panhard bar does, looser in and tighter off. I would take the lr spring off and let the car down until the shock touched the rubber, then I would measure the height of the frame mount to the ground. Then I would set my frame height 1" higher than level. You don't want the bar to go past level as you would be pulling the rearend back to the left, which would create inconsistent handling. Always keep some angle in those short bars. Matts advice is probly close as we don't see much compression travel anymore on the lr.Comment

Ok thanks for the input. I will make a new bar. It is going to be closer to 17 inches just because of the mount I have on the chassis. I thought it was too much angle in the short bar. I appreciate the help you guys have given me. I will try it out tomorrow night.Comment

If the panhard bar is 17 inches ish what degree or rake should I start with. Since matt said 1.5" for a 16" bar. Would a 17" bar be 3"?Comment
