Bert Gen2 trans-shifter adjustment

Having trouble getting reverse. Anyone know the procedure to adjust the shifter.

I pulled mine into high hear, and left a bit of distance to the rear of the gate, by adjusting the rod to trans.
went to low, with motor running made sure it had good engagement.
then I went to reverse, and made sure it engaged properly
