Rayburn pull bar.

Bought a 2011 Rayburn and took the pull bar off and there was not a spring in it. Is this the norm? The car is set up as swing arm. Should I buy a pull bar with the green spring, or just leave it? All so when scaling the car do I disconnect the pull bar when scaling or do I leave it hooked up when scaling? Please help.
