rear trailing arm frame mount

Unloaded the car tonight to race and noticed the rear end was not straight in car. Found the bracket for the rr lower trailing arm was broke in half. Only thing holding it in place was the bolt thru the frame. What would cause this, no wrecks, no contact and not rusty.
