motor angle??

puttin motor in car for first time,...do i want motor level front to back or do i want it down 3 degrees in the front??? seems right to me,...an down with yoke 3-6 degrees on rear to have drive line right???? first time not useing factory mounts an need some advice,..HELP???

I set my engine at 4* front to rear. I agree with CVRA.
You get more driveshaft angle IF you mount it TOO high in chassis.
Get some 1 inch thick spacers, you can play with the engine height in chassis.
Are you using a mid plate also? Use the spacer there also.

using sold camaro motor mounts from speedway on a camaro clip,...gonna fab up a cross member under transmission soon as i know the right angles,..4 degrees,..thanks!! got a mid plate i could use but would have to wield in brackets to mount it to,..not sure if i should or not,..first race car i ever put together....thanks for the help!!

looking at it today,..motor plate wont fit with drivers side fire wall....so its a cross member in the works....

camaro with stock fire wall,..number one plug one inch behind center of ball joint

careful how you set engine angle, most aluminum intake manifolds have angle cast into them, if your carb flange is angled forward you will want to set your angle finder on the flange and set engine so it reads zero, if the flange is level with the block 4-5 degrees back is good

no prob, i would put an angle finder on the flange and set it at 1-2 degrees back, that should get you where you wanna be

Factory says 5 degrees down in back ,for oil drainage. With less than that oil can create windage on crank and increase engine and oil temps.
