I have windows facing a busy street, and sometimes it seems that the neighbors can see what's going on in the apartment. I think that matte film could help with privacy, but I don't know how it would affect the light. Who has put such a film? Did it help, and how does it affect the light in the room?
Should I put matte film on my windows?

Frosted film definitely helps with privacy, but it does darken rooms a bit. Mine, for example, has gotten a little dimmer in some areas than before. But if you have bright lights in your apartment, you don't have to worry about it, and it's a good solution for privacy.

I’ve been thinking about getting frosted film for my windows for more privacy. It definitely helps block the view from the outside, but it does make the room a little darker, so that's something to keep in mind. It’s a solid option if you want to avoid people peeking in, but just be aware it might reduce the natural light a bit.
