    oil pan/timing cover balancer flywheel

    picked up fresh bore short block 350 1 piece rear main block. if oil pan/ from all 1 piece blocks are the same? balancer/timing cover different from 2 piece and flywheel. i found a flywheel from 90 350 but it has a weight that is like 2 forks end to end and a balancer that is thin like the old 305s can you help me.oldgold

    the one piece 350 is internal balance balancer, with an external balance flexplate, so yes the flexplate should have a weight on it, i believe timing cover is the same, oil pan is different

      how would i know if i had the right balancer even though the back is thin.

        if the shape of the balancer is uniform all the way around it should be good, the external balance balancers have obvious weight on one side
