    leaf spring shackle installation

    just looking for a little help just bought a car that has sliders and we cant run sliders we have to run shackles does anybody no the measurments or what pitch the shackle should be at when i install shackles should i have the car on the ground or up on jack stands with no weight on springs thanks for any ideas

        The angle of the leaf to shackle should be nearly 90 degrees when the car is at ride height with all of the weight in it. This keeps the rate of the spring. Less than 90 and your spring rate stiffens. More than 90 and its softer

          Camaro I assume with 25x31 chevy spring or chrysler spring or? I could give you measurement if I know what your working with.
